Chances for Children provides hope for the children of Haiti…..one family at a time.
Widespread poverty, economic turmoil, and violence in the streets, cripple any chance for a productive future for the children of Haiti. Due to extreme poverty many parents are forced to abandon or relinquish their children because they do not have the ability to feed, care or educate them. There is currently an orphan epidemic in Haiti - the mission of Chances for Children is to help solve this problem one child, one family, one village at a time.
We work to identify orphaned or abandoned children who are victims of severe poverty and neglect. Our first task is to return these children to good health with proper nutrition and medical attention in a supportive environment that is conducive to their emotional and physical development.
We also believe that the answer to Haiti’s orphan epidemic is not just adoptions.
Chances for Children works with a number of different localized groups within Haiti to proactively address this problem with a variety of programs:
Join us as we attempt to give these children a chance. A chance for a future. A chance for a better life.
