Travel Information

We encourage all Contributors and Adoptive Families to visit our Adoption Center - it is an oasis amidst the chaos of Port au Prince. Crèche de l’Enfant Jesus is located east of the capital city and is about a 45 minute drive from the airport.

When you travel to visit the Crèche you will be met at the airport by our security team and they will help guide you through the immigration and baggage process at the airport. It can be a bit intimidating even for the most seasoned traveler, but with our team to assist you - things usually run smoothly.

You will then be driven in a van or truck to the Crèche - escorting you will be one or two security guards to ensure your safety through the streets of Port au Prince. Once you get to the rural villages you will travel by dirt road and arrive safely at your destination - Crèche de l’Enfant Jesus. Our facility is equipped with a guest wing with bedrooms and bathroom facilities. Your meals will be prepared by our kitchen staff. In addition we have a number of staff who speak English to assist you during your stay.  

If you wish to make trips into town or do any sight seeing our staff will be happy to arrange this for you during your stay.

Costs to stay at the Crèche are:

• Airport Transportation and Security: $250.00 round trip
• Room and Board: $50.00 per night per person
• Trips into PAP: $200 roundtrip
• Excursions: Estimates will be provided
