C4C is pleased to announce a partnership with Coeurs de Compassion

Chances for Children is pleased to announce a partnership with Coeurs de Compassion in Kenscoff, Haiti. Coeurs de Compassion is home to approximately 50 children of age 1-12 years. As a result of damage to the orphanage in the January 2010 earthquake, these children are forced to sleep in tents where they are susceptible to inclement weather and illness.
Chances for Children recently met with Coeurs de Compassion founder, Pastor Maxime Renelus, to lay the foundation of a long-term partnership. The first priority of the partnership is to provide permanent housing through the construction of a new orphanage. While Coeurs de Compassion has already initiated construction of a new facility, an additional $22,000 USD is needed to complete the project. C4C will help support construction costs so that the children will receive proper housing as soon as possible. C4C will also be sending volunteer mission teams to make monthly visits to the site in order to interact with the children and deliver much needed food, medicine and clothing.
