Chances for Children makes their first adoptive match since the earthquake!

Chances for Children is thrilled to announce that we have made our first adoptive match since the earthquake!

The Beckstead Family of Utah has been matched with Dina, age 6 & Ricardo, age 3. The brother and sister are being cared for at one of our new orphanage partners in the southern part of Haiti.

We feel fortunate to be able to provide a family for these two children, as many orphanages in Haiti have not yet been able to resume adoptions. Since this is our first match after the earthquake, it is unclear how long the adoption process will take. For Dina and Ricardo as well as the Beckstead family, we are optimistic it won't be much longer than it was before the earthquake, but only time will tell.

This is a great step forward for our adoption program in Haiti. We have several other families in our pilot program who will hopefully be getting their referrals soon and we'll have more to report. Congratulations to the Beckstead family!

NOTE: The children in this picture are not available for adoption
