Exciting news- UPDATE- WE DID IT!!!
7:30 P.M. EST WE DID IT!!!!!!
The charter plane that our team managed to locate, coordinate, fund and get to Haiti on less then 24 hours notice landed in Ft Lauderdale. And riding on our plane was Soledad O'Brien of CNN. She posted some great pictures on her Facebook Page
This effort was a miraculous accomplishment by a great team - it was full of challenges, last minute changes and enough stress to last a lifetime, but seeing the joy in the faces of the adoptive parents and their beautiful children made it all worthwhile. Thank you to the amazing team that pulled this off. We are one of the only orphanages that have been able to successfully bring all of our children in together in a safe and secure setting.
10:30 A.M. EST
A 25 person passenger plane is landing in port au prince this afternoon to bring home 18 children! They will be met in Florida by their adoptive parents.
