Welcome! How exciting for you and your husband.  The children are absolutely wonderful and it is such a blessing to eventually be able to visit the Creche to meet your child if you decide to go. The creche, the staff at the orphanage and the staff with Chances For Children are all fantastic. They take such good care of the children and are also doing many things in the local village to help out the community.
It is nice to know we’ve got someone from Spain adopting. My husband and I have had 5 foreign exchange students live with us over the past 6 years ( one at a time and for 10 months out of the year each time).They have come for a cultural experience and have attended high school while here in the United States living with us. We had a lovely young girl from Madrid, Spain who lived with us 3 years ago and we all fell in love with her. She’s like an extended part of our family and we still keep in touch.
I hope you will be matched soon and begin to get to know about YOUR child. Let us all know if you have any questions. We will be happy to help.

We have already the “assignation” !!!
We have a girl, called Widline !!!
We are going to start the official process with IBESR, parquet…. we hope that all the process could be as short as possible, because we would like to have our little baby with us if possible on Christmas.
We proud every day for her and also for whole people in the creche.
Thanks a lot for take care of our litlle baby until we could come to Haiti

Congratulations!!!!
I am so very happy for you and your husband and all your family. It may be a little more time before we can go to the creche again, but I hope not too much longer. We are in Parquet now. When we finish our adoption and go to get our children in Haiti, I would be happy to take some pictures of Widlene for you. I could mail the photos to you. If you would like to have some extra photos, then give us (me and other Moms on the Forum) your address. I’m sure there are other Moms who would be glad to mail you some photos from other trips to the creche also.

How exciting for you.  It is magical to finally be matched and the feeling is fantastic.  Congratulations.
We are hoping to travel back to the creche in either May or June and I would love to take pictures and video of Widlene for you.  We would be happy to mail them to you as I know how much it means to get pictures of our kids in the mail.  If you would like us to take something special to Widlene, send it to us and we will bring it to her and let her know it came from her mommy and daddy. How exciting!!  There are plenty of families on this forum that would gladly take pictures of your little girl for you when they are in Haiti.  If you have an email address to post, that would be the fastest ways to get a pictures to you!  Congratulations again!!!!!!
