Haiti has been setting up additional care centers for COVID-19 patients and the country is waiting on millions of dollars worth of medical equipment being sent from China. There has not been a large increase in positive cases, but most of the population still does not have access to a testing center.
MICRO LOAN: The 11 women in our second round program in Gonaives made their first of 10 monthly loan payments at the end of March, but their businesses remained closed most of April due to the coronavirus. We have made their April payment optional, extending their loan due date by an extra month. We will continue to reevaluate the situation. We are hopeful that the women can reopen their businesses soon, but we keep their safety and ability to provide for their families our priority during this time.

CRECHE: We continue to be grateful to have healthy kids who are well stocked with food and supplies and an amazing staff caring for them!
